Big-E Bikes was born from a simple idea: electric biking should be fun, practical, and affordable — something that everyone in the family can enjoy. 

Founded in Missoula, Montana, in 2025, we are a small, passionate local startup focused on quality, durability, and design that stands out.

Big-E Bikes is the project of Kelly Bigelow, a local entrepreneur and biking enthusiast who noticed that the ebike market was lacking what he wanted out of his riding experience, which involved everything from weekday commuting to exploring Montana with his young son on the weekends. 

Kelly’s journey started on the bike paths and slant streets of Missoula, where he’s been pedaling and exploring since childhood. After becoming a dad, he envisioned a bike that made family rides easier and safer while also offering a practical and fast mode of environment-friendly transportation. That vision led him to develop high-quality, affordable ebikes designed for real life—bikes that ride well, look great, and make getting around town easier, no matter the conditions or traffic.

Big-E bikes feature powerful motors, long-lasting batteries, lightweight frames, and unique design options— such as bright color choices you won’t find from big-box brands. We currently offer three unique electric bike option: a sidecar model for family outings, a sleek cruiser, and a rugged, motorcycle-styled bike.
